If you ever get the opportunity, ask Maggie Anne who the character below is.

Her answer . . . Linnie the Pooh!

It was nap time today, and Maggie Anne informed me that she was going to sing with me. It was so sweet. She sang and rubbed on my face. She sang "Sunshine" which we always alter with "Please don't take my Maggie Anne (or Jessie or Dalton) away." Maggie sang, "Please don't take my Maggie Anne . . . wait . . . my mommy away."

For as much drama as she can display at times, she truly is the sweetest little thing!

Another performance from her grandparent's house. It just seems to bring out the performer in her.

Maggie asked for a slice of cheese while visiting her grandparents. She was shaking it all around and I told her to stop. She informed me, "I not shaking it! I wiggling it to get the cold off!"
Maggie Anne asked me the other day if she could go outside. I told her that she could not because she had bare feet. She looked up at me and exclaimed, "I no have bear feet! That would scare me!"
We stopped at my dad's house on the way to Mandeville. Homer had a bad storm, and his power was out. After about ten minutes, Maggie Anne looked at me and asked, "Is Mike's house out of batteries?" We tried to explain. A few minutes later she asked, "Is Mike's house unplugged?" We told her that was the general idea.
This was also on our trip down south. Dalton had a great time picking blueberries even though he won't eat them.

I could not send the entire video of this. I had about a minute and a half on recorded, but that was only a fraction of about 45 minutes of Maggie Anne's singing. I know you can't see anything. We are in the car driving to Louisiana after dark.

Yes, she gets stuck on repeat. But it sure is cute. Well, for a while anyway. :-)

We got a break from it all last weekend. We promised the kids a beach, and while we didn't make it to the gulf, they loved this one all the same. This is a cute little beach they have put on Lake Pontchartrain in the Fountainbleau State Park outside of Mandeville.

Dalton is always very sweet to show his sister the way.

Not the best picture of the baby, but you can tell that she was stylin' in her swimsuit along with her big brother and sister (and no, we didn't take her into the lake).

Maggie Anne was totally thrilled with the beach and did not want to leave.

Not the prettiest water, but it's so shallow that the kids could go out (yes, with an adult) more than 100 yards before the water started to get higher on them.

I wasn't responding quick enough to one of Maggie Anne's requests, so she put her hands on her hips and firmly scolded, "Mama Anne Maher!"

Maggie Anne saw a little vein on my leg today and asked, "Is your leg cracking, mommy?"

Maggie Anne told me this morning, "I have a birthday coming up!" I confirmed then told her that I thought it was going to be a princess party. Her immediate response . . . "No princesses! I told you I wanted a Swiper birthday and I don't want to talk about it any more!" You have to keep in mind that when she said this to me, she was wearing a Snow White dress-up costume.

Not sure if she'll be getting a birthday party now. :-)
