Prank Backfired (It's tacky too)
Most everyone has had this type of boiled cookie before. Well, I made these last night and they did not set quite like they should. After work tonight, Boyd and I formed a little plan that we thought was sure to gross out Dalton.
For those of you who don't know, we have three small dogs that live with us. While it is rare, there are accidents that happen. Dalton did not know about these cookies, so Boyd and I formed a cookie to look like a doggy accident and put it on the floor in Dalton's room.
Dalton found it and Boyd picked it up with his bare hand, sniffed it and took a bite. Then he offered Dalton a bite. He immediately ran screaming from the room. His sister on the other hand was totally mystified and horrified by what she was seeing. Boyd called me and when I came in, he handed me the cookie and asked if I wanted a bite too. Amidst a loud "Ewwwwwwwww," I took a bite.
Here's the backfiring part. Maggie was so shocked that her mom took a bite of the "poop" that when Boyd turned to her and asked if she wanted a bite, she thought about it for about two seconds and then nodded and reached for the cookie. So our evening has been filled with quizzing a little girl about what we do and don't eat.

What's Missing???
Dalton pulled his first tooth at school today. We didn't figure we'd have such an easy time and didn't even realize it was loose enough to come out. Tooth Fairy comes tonight!

We've been watching our new BluRay of Lady and the Tramp. We made it to the spaghetti scene where Lady and Tramp share a noodle and end up kissing. Then they look at each other with lovey-dovey eyes. I asked if they were in love. Dalton responded with disgust, "Yeah, just like you two."
We're so glad that we can already gross him out. :-)

Maggie Anne was just tell me that her "tatoes" (potatoes that we had planted in our front flower bed) had died. She told me that we needed to go give them some milk. "Yeah! That would be a great idea!" She's very good at self-affirmation.
I asked her what the milk would do, and she said it would make them happy. She said that we should go right now (10:00 p.m. - it's a holiday tomorrow, so cut me some slack).
No, we did not go give the potatoes their milk. Luckily she is still easily distracted.

Dalton is watching the gymnastics Olympic trials with us. We've been explaining the rules of each event as we go along. We were watching a floor exercise when a girl stepped out of bounds. Dalton exclaimed, "That is rediclious! She's not suppose to step on the white. Take that back so I can see it again!" Sounds like a judge-in-training to me.
